Ambassador Spotlight – September 2017 – Nancy Silva

September Spotlight: Nancy Silva
Nevada County Association of Realtors

It is a pleasure for the Greater Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce to recognize Nancy Silva as our Ambassador Spotlight for the month of September.  She came to Nevada County in 2002 with Gary, her husband of 20 years.  Before coming to Nevada County, Nancy was a hair stylist, and trainer for Vidal Sassoon, where she worked in their New York, London, and San Francisco Salons.  She and Gary have one incredible daughter Isabella, who is a biology major at the University of California, San Diego.  They also have a dachshund named Pepper.

Nancy is the Membership-Education Coordinator for the Nevada County Association of Realtors, located at 336 Crown Point Circle here in Grass Valley.  She got involved with our Chamber after speaking with Greg Ward, a board member of the Nevada County Association of Realtors, and a Chamber board member, and inquired about being an Ambassador for the GGVCC.  After one meeting with other Ambassadors, she decided that she wanted to be the one to represent the Nevada County Association of Realtors, who has been a member of the Chamber for five years now.

Now after several months of being an Ambassador, she enjoys going to the Chamber Mixers where she is able to network with the other Chamber members.  She recommends joining the Chamber, getting involved, and even becoming an Ambassador.  Nancy is now on the Community Affairs Committee and she helped at this year’s Chamber of Commerce Fair Booth.

When asked how her involvement with the GGVCC has helped her grow, Nancy responded by saying, “I believe I have formed many synergistic relationships with the other members, and some have become affiliates with the Nevada County Association of Realtors, which has increased our membership and ties to the community

Again, I want to thank Nancy for her involvement in our wonderful community.  It is truly people like Nancy who make this community a better place to live, work and play.
