Ribbon Cutting Events

The Greater Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to spotlight two dynamic Ambassadors

Heather Haddock joined the team at the Grass Valley Downtown Association almost a year and a half ago and loves being such a big part of all that happens downtown. Heather has a passion for helping business owners get noticed.

Heather’s background in marketing, being an entrepreneur herself and her bookkeeping experience has made her an asset to the GVDA. Heather is excited to now have a way to blend her involvement with the GVDA and The Greater Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce to enhance the downtown merchants with the benefits of combining their memberships with both.

Heather recently stepped down as a board member of the Chamber as well as being the Co-Chair of the Mixer Committee, but will continue to be the Chair for the Ambassadors at the Chamber until she goes on maternity leave.

Heather is loving working and living in downtown Grass Valley, in her spare time she enjoys hiking, singing karaoke and spending time with her three-year old son and her partner. To learn more about the GVDA follow this link:

The Greater Grass Valley Chamber is excited to spotlight one of their enthusiastic Ambassadors, Erin Sorani. Erin has the energy of a speeding freight train. Her energy can be felt from across the room. She’s been a welcome addition to our group and to the ribbon cutting committee. Erin is not afraid of hard work.

She’s an accomplished inline speed skater having trained at the Olympic level. Erin transitioned from inline speed skating to racing road bikes. To say she has a need for speed is an understatement! Erin enjoyed a rewarding career for Cal Fire in the Paramedic field. As rewarding as it was, she had always kept herself involved in real estate as an investor and now an agent as of 2015. Erin has kept herself very busy since stepping in to her career as an agent being awarded with the prestigious Masters Award for four of the last five years. Being a top producer and helping others in her field comes naturally, Erin loves going the distance for her clients and herself. She welcomes challenges in her field, in fact, it’s the most rewarding part of what she does.

Erin loves when she can make a dream become a reality for her clients. Erin takes on clients who think they can’t and turns that in to yes you can! Her network of contacts in the real estate field has made all the difference is seeing a transaction from an idea to signing escrow papers. Erin’s motto is “anything is possible!”

Erin is an avid outdoors lover, she chose Nevada County to call home almost 21 years ago because of her active lifestyle, she can literally walk out her front door and jump on her bike and be at the Yuba River or in the forest in a matter of minutes. Raising her family here just feels right. She’s passed on her love of biking to her children, Erin has a son (14) who races motor cross and a daughter (11) who performs with aerial silks. In addition to raising her children, Erin also has six chickens and one dog. In her spare time, Erin loves to garden and knit. She hosts knit nights to gather people together who want to share stories, laugh, create and grow together. Erin sees this as a way of weaving together life long friendships. We feel so fortunate that Erin weaved her way in to our Ambassador group and welcome her can do attitude. Erin can be contacted by calling (530) 277-8373, or by visiting the Nevada City office at 436 Broad Street.
