AMBASSADOR of the MONTH

The Greater Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to spotlight a dynamic Ambassador

The Greater Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce is excited to spotlight Jennie Sparks as the Ambassador of the year! She has been a tremendous part of the Ambassador team and we are lucky to have her.

Jennie Sparks is the Operations Manager for Absolute Communication Solutions and has been with ACS since 2007. She has the pleasure to work alongside her husband, Eric, and his business partner, Rich Teehee.

Jennie is not only an active member of the Chamber but has also been a member of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) since 2009, and in 2017 received her SHRM-CP certification. She is involved with our local SHRM chapter Sierra Human Resources Association as the Treasurer and Community/External Relations chair. According to Jennie, “It’s been a great experience getting involved and giving back to the HR community.”

Jennie has been a Greater Grass Valley Chamber Ambassador for almost three years and has loved every minute.

Jennie shared, “As an Ambassador I have the opportunity to give back to my community by volunteering at events hosted by the GGVCC. Through Ribbon Cuttings and Mixers, I’m able to network with other business owners and welcome them to the Chamber. The personal connections I have made at the Chamber are priceless. It’s a great group of business owners, employees and individual members who are committed to improving our community through fundraising, volunteering and networking.

Through the Chamber I have been given a wonderful opportunity to create a social group for professionals in Nevada County. The group is for people Seeking Professional Advancements through Relationships and Connections, SPARC. I’m very excited to have this chance to provide professionals with a fun way to meet with other professionals and to create relationships as well as provide education, development opportunities and mentoring.

I’m very fortunate to be able to work in the only place I’ve called home. And that’s why I believe in giving back to my community in any way that I can. In addition to the Chamber, I’m currently participating with the Nevada County Contractor’s Association’s marketing committee, NEO Youth Center’s marketing and fundraising committee and Scotten School’s PTC.”

As a working professional and mother of two young children, Jennie is an outstanding example of giving her talents to a variety of organizations, especially our Greater Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce.
