AMBASSADOR of the YEAR

Danielle Scallin, Grass Valley Courtyard Suites

The Greater Grass Valley Chamber Ambassadors committee is thrilled to spotlight our Ambassador of the Year, Danielle Scallin of Grass Valley Courtyard Suites. Danielle is so deserving of this esteemed honor.

Danielle has not only been an active Ambassador, but she has also stepped up to volunteer chair the Table Tops and Mixer committee along with being a board member of The Greater Grass Valley Chamber. In addition, Danielle is an avid supporter of Nevada County Cultural Arts District. To say she’s involved in our community is an understatement.

Danielle’s love of the arts has inspired a truly unique concept…bringing the arts to The Grass Valley Courtyard Suites. Danielle brought the idea to fruition in October when The Grass Valley Courtyard Suites proudly announced their “jump into the arts!”In an effort to align with the recent state-designated Cultural Arts distinction, and to embrace and promote a thriving local art community the hotel aims to turn its commonplaces into vibrant gallery spaces. With ample wall space throughout the property, including a 1300 sq ft event center the sky really is the limit on the ways in which artists can present their works and/or workshops throughout the hotel property. From mixed media to ceramics, fine pencil and watercolor each month will boast a different artist or collaboration of artists to be on display. Both locals and guests are encouraged to attend lively artist receptions featuring signature cocktails at the “no host” bar, and to stop by anytime to view and purchase art.

As a guest of the Grass Valley Courtyard Suites, you’ll discover a delightful blend of Bed and Breakfast charm, one-on-one five-star hospitality services along with posh hotel amenities. They’re nestled in a quiet neighborhood conveniently located one block from our historic downtown Grass Valley. They boast 42 luxurious and spacious guestrooms and suites. Each reflects a unique style and character. You’ll certainly be impressed and like most guests, you’ll be booking your next stay when you check out.

In her free time, Danielle enjoys hiking, camping, dancing and exploring the local trails and rivers in Nevada County with her husband and four children. When she has a free moment all to herself, she loves to grab a good book.

We are very thankful to Danielle for all of her hard work with the Chamber and her support of our community. Danielle, we celebrate you and all of your hard work and dedication!

To contact Danielle via email danielle@gvcourtyardsuites.com or give her a call at (530) 272-7696.

Here’s what the artists are saying:

“Danielle, thank you so much for everything… for developing the program concept… for selling the concept to Kathy… for opening up the opportunity for so many local artists… and mostly for all you have done to make my personal art showing so successful…“

“I absolutely loved showing my art at Courtyard Suites. Danielle was so helpful and supportive, and the entire staff was such a pleasure to get to know. It really means a lot to me that there are such wonderful community resources for artists in Nevada County. I sure hope I get to show there again someday. Thanks!”
