The Greater Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to spotlight a dynamic Ambassador for the month of December

The Greater Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to spotlight Deborah Patterson from Patterson’s Tax Practice in Grass Valley for the month of December.

With over 20 years of experience and education in tax preparation services, Deborah moved in January 2016, from Littleton, Colorado to Grass Valley and opened her office. Deborah is an Enrolled Agent (certified to practice before the IRS) meaning she, as well as CPAs and attorneys, are the only professional designations allowed to represent clients in front of the IRS, whether she did your taxes or not. Whether you need tax preparation, bookkeeping, or have tax issues you haven’t been able to resolve, Deborah has gained a reputation for not only taking time to listen to clients but also explain the processes, reasons, and results of your tax return or issues. For example, rather than just calling you to pick up your return, Deborah likes to sit down with you and explain the results. Deborah and her crew of three love tax preparation and are devoted to their careers

In addition to enjoying her work, Deborah loves theatre, musicals, animals, wild or not, playing cards and other games such as The Settlers of Catan, taking road trips, and traveling. She also believes in giving to her community and is an Ambassador for The Greater Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce. She is involved in subcommittees such as SPARC—helping young entrepreneurs get acquainted with others in the community. You may have seen her selling tickets at the 4th of July fairgrounds celebration, the bi annual air show, crossing guard for Safe Trick or Treat, and most recently, manning the Grass Valley Downtown Association table at Cornish Christmas. “For the first time in my life, I live in a small community and absolutely love being a part of the structure that supports keeping it vibrant and alive.”
