AMBASSADORS of the MONTH

Heather Haddock, Grass Valley Downtown Association & Sarah Myers, The UPS Store

The Greater Grass Valley Chamber Ambassadors are excited to spotlight two amazing women for the month of February. We proudly present Heather Haddock, Program Specialist for the Grass Valley Downtown Association and Sarah Myers, Marketing Representative for The UPS Store. Both of these women have much to offer in their positions and to The Greater Grass Valley Chamber Ambassadors.

Heather Haddock joined the team at the Grass Valley Downtown Association (GVDA) this past summer and hit the ground running. She has a passion for helping business owners get recognition. Her background in marketing, being an entrepreneur herself and her bookkeeping experience has made her an asset to the GVDA. In the short time Heather has been at the GVDA she has become a part of the Design Committee, the Organizational Committee, the  Promotions Committee and the Economic Restructuring Committee. The GVDA thrives with the support of volunteers and Heather is excited to get a program off the ground similar to the Chamber Ambassadors structure, called the Downtown Diplomats. This group that Heather is helping assemble will further aid in keeping the downtown event volunteers and the downtown merchants involved with the GVDA. Heather is excited now to have a way to blend her involvement with the GVDA and The Greater Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce (Heather is on our Mixer Committee too!). She hopes to enhance the downtown merchants association with the benefits of combining their memberships with both organizations. Heather loves working and living in downtown Grass Valley. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, singing karaoke and spending time with her two-year old son. To learn more about the GVDA follow this link:  http://downtowngrassvalley.com/

Sarah Myers began her career with The UPS Store in October of 2015 when she decided to return to the workforce after her children were all set in school. Sarah is delighted she landed at The UPS Store. Dave Elliott, the owner, considers Sarah his right hand. Sarah participated in a year-long ProBrilliance training with Machen MacDonald. She credits this training as a “game-changer” in business and in life. The training she received gave her the confidence and know how to join the local BNI (Business Networking International) and further her reach in our community. In addition, Sarah joined the Greater Grass Valley Chamber Ambassadors last year and has already made an impact by sharing her brilliant marketing ideas and making “selfie boards” for special events. Sarah has many new marketing ideas that she can see all the way through locally, right at the UPS store. The UPS store is all about branding, and Sarah shared this little tid-bit…”When you think of The UPS Store, think United Problem Solvers.” Let Sarah solve all of your mailing and marketing right here, right in downtown. In Sarah’s spare time she loves to take advantage of visiting our local wineries, exploring new cuisine and managing her three children’s busy schedules.
