Grass Valley Downtown Association

Grass Valley Downtown Association (GVDA) is a non-profit membership-based organization headed by Executive Director, Marni Marshall. GVDA represents business and property owners working to enhance the vitality and livability of downtown Grass Valley.

All business license holders in the GVDA are charged an annual fee based on the anticipated benefits they receive. GVDA receives financial support from private sponsors and contributing members. To contact the Downtown Association call 272-8315 or visit


GVDA Activities and Mission

• Advocate for ongoing improvements to downtown’s cleanliness, security,
aesthetics, and delivery of services.

• Enhance the image of downtown and attract new visitors through year-round

marketing, public relations, and special events.
• Facilitate the development of parking, housing & retail.

• Provide assistance to downtown business and property owners on day-to-day

concerns, working to cut “red tape” and find new solutions.

• Build coalitions among downtown’s workforce, residents, property owners, civic
organizations and local government.
