Welcome to the 2016 Strawberry Music Festival Season

Our 35th Year of Festivals

The Spring 2016 Festival will take place at the Nevada County Fairgrounds on Thursday, May 26th through Sunday, May 29th.   The Nevada County Fairgrounds offers beautiful forest and meadow camping, permanent shower and restroom facilities, lots of indoor and outdoor space for family fun and entertainment, and is accessible to all ages and abilities.  Nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevada foothills, charming gold rush towns Grass Valley and Nevada City are just minutes away with lots of services including lodging options, restaurants, stores, gas stations, and recreation.  You can explore the scenery of the Sierra foothills or settle in for the weekend with a variety of cuisine available in the food court and lots of great shopping opportunities. With plenty of space for groups of any size, the Spring Festival is your perfect getaway destination.

This year Strawberry presents the gold standard in main stage entertainment, intimate side stage performances, top notch children’s programming, workshops and activities for the whole family, and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Programs like the Breakfast Club and the Band Scramble, live broadcasts by Hog Ranch Radio, and Strawberry’s legendary camp jam culture are what makes this YOUR festival.  Please join us this season with your instruments and radio in tow, ready to laugh, play, sing, dance, eat, and be entertained!

Ticket Pricing for the Spring 2015 Festival

Pricing for festival tickets varies depending on which type of ticket fits your needs. You will see that our prices for the 2016 season have increased, however we will always do our best to keep ticket prices affordable and competitive. Since we are offering our Spring 2016 Festival tickets before the Fall 2016 Festival is set, the All Festival Pass will not be available this season. These prices are a great deal for what is going to be a fantastic festival, so don’t miss out.

Please note that Spring 2016 tickets are non-refundable, Festival is rain or shine. Ticket prices do not reflect Brown Paper Tickets additional service fees. All tickets and handling fees are non-refundable.

Ordering Tickets

There are two different options available for purchasing tickets:

    • Call the office at 209-984-8630 and place a phone order, M-F, (9-5) using your Visa or Mastercard
  • Please keep all access roads clear to traffic. Maximum speed in the camping area is 5 MPH.
  • Personal campfires and charcoal cooking are NOT ALLOWED. Off the ground camp stoves (propane, white gas, or butane) are OK. Please be aware of fire hazards near your cook space.
  • No Dogs/No pets.
  • No firearms or weapons of any kind.
  • No solicitation or sales activities without written permission.
  • No in-camp use of ATV’s or off road motorcycles allowed.
  • Golf cart use is restricted to staff only.
  • Quiet generators are allowed to run between the hours of 10:00 am and noon daily.
  • Strawberry staff reserves the right to ask you to turn off your generator if it is causing a disturbance.
  • Strawberry Music reserves the right to refuse service.
  • Please put away any alcoholic beverages when your camp is unattended.
  • Please refrain from using your cell phone where performances of any kind are taking place.
  • Please observe all signed boundaries and area closures.
  • Please help keep the festival site clean.
  • There is no swimming in Lion’s Lake or the NIH ditches at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.
  • Please do not put garbage or debris in the NIH public water system.
  • Please move camp refuse to garbage/recycle stations regularly.
  • Smoking is only allowed in designated areas.

Spring 2016 RV Site Reservation Guidelines

  • * All fees must be prepaid
    One (1) night non-refundable deposit upon booking reservation
    No refund for early departure

    1. RV occupants must show proof of insurance and valid registration for RV and tow vehicle (if used). These must be in the same name. RV must be in good, clean, operable condition.
    2. Check in time is 1:00 p.m. Check out is by 12:00 p.m. (noon). Park stay is limited to 14 consecutive days from November 1 to April 30, and 7 consecutive days from May 1 to October 31.
    3. No Tent Camping. A secondary tent with RV’s may be approved by Fair Management.
    4. All noise activities must cease by 10:00 p.m. Generators may only be used in an assigned RV site without hook-ups, where the noise will not cause an annoyance to neighboring campers. Generators must be off by 10:00 p.m. Loss of power may create exceptions to this rule; exceptions require the approval of Fair Management.
    5. Pets must be on a leash or penned at all times and must be picked up after. Dogs & other pets must not be a threat or a nuisance to other park users at any time. While pets are allowed in the RV Park year-round, please remember that they are not allowed on the adjacent Fairgrounds during special events.
    6. RV sites must be kept clean at all times. No clothes lines.
    7. No washing RVs or vehicles.
    8. Absolutely no gray water is to be dumped on the grounds.
    9. Electric and Water or Dry Camping will be charged a dump fee if the Dump Station is used.
    10. Destruction or damage to trees is prohibited.
    11. No fires allowed. Small barbecues only. Hot coals must be dumped in coal receptacle.
    12. No people or pets allowed in the Nevada Irrigation District ditches and Lion’s Lake.
    13. Any complaint involving local law enforcement agencies may result in immediate eviction.
    14. Note: Contracted events may have exceptions to certain rules of the park.The State of California, 17th District Agricultural Association (DAA) owns this property. The camper accepts camping privileges with the understanding that he/she does hereby release the DAA, its officers and employees, of all liability for loss or damage to property and injury to his/her person arising out of his/her use of its camping facilities and agrees to defend and indemnify the DAA, its officers and employees, against all claims resulting from loss or damage to property or injury to the person of any member of the family or guest of the registered camper arising out of the use of the camping facilities. In the case of a defaulting occupant, the RV may be removed from the premises for the reasons specified in the California Civil Code Section 799.22. “Defaulting occupant” means an occupant who fails to pay for his or her occupancy in a park or who fails to comply with reasonable written rules and regulations of the park given to the occupant upon registration.
  • There are four types of RV Sites and are priced as follows:
    • Full Hook-Up/Including power, water, and dump – $200
    • Power and Water Hook-Up – $175
    • Power Only Hook-Up – $150
    • Tent Camping Power Only – $100
